A calm coastal home, rich in natural materials
From the street, vertical timber screening and a concealed garage door sit between dark parapet forms and substantial stone walls. Mature coastal trees soften the composition and frame a recessed timber entry.
Inside, timber boards continue across floors, walls and ceilings, while stone elements form solid visual anchors. High-level glazing and rooflights draw daylight deep into the plan, and the kitchen is treated as part of the architecture rather than as a separate fitted object.
At the rear, full-height sliding doors open the living and dining spaces to a sheltered timber deck. The courtyard brings the project’s key materials—stone, timber, dark metal and glass—together in one connected indoor–outdoor space.
