PROJECT STORY
From the street, the long roof form and paired garages keep the home composed and relatively understated. A curved timber-clad entry wall introduces warmth at the centre of the elevation and gives the arrival sequence a clear identity.
At the rear, the building responds more dramatically to the fall of the land. Full-height glazing, high-level windows and a generous deck frame the outlook, while timber soffits, posts and screens soften the two-storey form. A sheltered paved area beneath the deck creates another practical outdoor room at garden level.
Inside, the project balances simple light-toned rooms with carefully concentrated material details. The open-plan kitchen, dining and living area opens toward the elevated deck and water outlook, while the main bedroom and ensuite also make the view part of everyday life. A concealed pantry, timber-lined hall and integrated study, detailed wet areas, bright laundry and well-planned lower-level spaces show the same attention to daily use as the larger architectural gestures.
