Building Performance & Healthy-Home Capability

Homes that feel as good as they look
A beautiful home can still be uncomfortable, expensive to run or vulnerable to condensation if the building envelope and services are not considered together. Armistead Homes brings performance-aware thinking to custom homes and renovations without losing sight of design, budget and practical construction.

What we consider
-
Orientation, shading and useful winter sun
-
Insulation continuity and thermal bridges
-
Window size, location, glazing and installation detail
-
Airtightness and uncontrolled draughts
-
Ventilation, extraction and indoor moisture
-
Rainwater control, drainage and material drying potential
-
Durable assemblies that can be built and maintained properly
Renovations and performance
Existing homes rarely improve through one product alone. Insulation, windows, draught control, heating and cooling, extraction and moisture pathways interact. Renovation work is an opportunity to examine those systems together and prioritise improvements that suit the actual building.
